Harris Group team members were delighted to attend the Busworld Europe conference in Brussels last week. Busworld is the world’s largest and oldest bus expo, and has this year moved to the Belgian capital-city, Brussels. The move also features relocation to a state-of-the-art exhibition hall, which will allow the exhibition to safeguard its sustainable growth in terms of exhibitors and visitors.

Not only was this a great team-building opportunity for Harris Group, it was a fantastic networking opportunity with colleagues from across the world. Among the highlights was the launch of some exciting new products from our friends at Higer Bus.

Higer, one of the largest representatives of Chinese-made buses, will exhibit at Busworld for the second year, and this year will feature four star models including two electric models – the 8.5m and 12m pure electric buses. At present, the vast majority of European city buses are powered by diesel engines. Introducing these models to the European market not only demonstrates Higer’s commitment to explore the overseas market, but also their readiness to meet the demands of the future in terms of environmental protection and improvement. These electric buses are zero-emission and are one of the most effective way to save energy and improve air-quality in cities.

Exclusive to the Harris Group in Ireland and the UK, the Higer range of premium midi coaches has been specifically optimised for the UK and Ireland market with specifications that are sure to impress. Our flagship model, the Higer Super 9 XL, is Ireland’s best-selling 9m rear-ending coach with an international component DNA including Cumins engine, ZF gearbox, Spheros A/C, Waco braking system electronics, Vega luxury seats and much more.

All Higer vehicles come with unparalleled parts and after sales service, including a 24-month warranty and 24/7 assistance.
